Episode no. 14

The Shooting Star is a one-part episode in The Adventures of Tintin, produced by Ellipse-Nelvana, based on the book of the same name by Hergé. This was the first episode of the show's second season.

Changes from the Book

The part of Philippulus the Prophet is severely reduced. He is seen at the start of the episode when Tintin reaches the observatory and when Tintin is having a nightmare. These appearances were reduced and others, such as Philippulus' "occupation" of the Aurora's crow's nest, are completely missing. The Aurora's fuel stop in Akureyri, Iceland was likewise left out.
