The Karaboudjan is the English drug smuggling ship in the story The Crab with the Golden Claws. It's name is supposedly Armenian, regardless to the fact that the country of Armenia does not have a coast line. Tintin first comes across this ship after seeing a slip of crab tin paper with the word Karaboudjan scrawled on it. After being kidnapped by the crew of the Karaboudjan, Tintin learns that the ship's cargo hold contains opium, disguised as tins of crab meat. Members of the crew of the ship includes the infamous first mate, Allan, and then alcoholic, Captain Haddock. After Tintin and Captain Haddock are taken in by the Lieutenant later in the story, they hear a news bulletin announcing that the Karaboudjan 'went down with all hands.' However Captain Haddock recognises the ship in the Morrocan port city of Bagghar, disguised as the Djebel Amilah. Thanks to Haddock, the local Police find out about this and arrest the crew. The ship is not included in any of the other Tintin books.
In addition, it bears resemblance to the Pachacamac, which could indeed be the same ship.
