Jean-Pierre Talbot (born 12 August 1943, Spa, Belgium) is a Belgian teacher best known as an actor, portraying Tintin in two live action movies.

Talbot, the only son of a Belgian businessman, was spotted by a talent scout on 15 August 1960. Still a teenager, he was the assistant sports instructor at a holiday camp in Ostend. Talbot knew Hergé's work like the back of his hand, leading to his casting. He was introduced to Hergé who sympathized with him immediately. Talbot effortlessly became the famous fearless journalist Tintin in the films, Tintin and the Golden Fleece (1961) and Tintin and the Blue Oranges (1964). Talbot then decided not to go on with his acting career. He continued teaching, which was still his passion. He became director of the King Baudouin Free School before retiring. Talbot is married with one daughter and three grandchildren.
