Fred (French: Harry) is an English fireman who works in a fire station in Eastdown.

He had always confused the key of the fire station for the key of his wife's jam cupboard. When he saw that Dr. J.W. Müller sabotaged the water hose, he was beaten by Ivan who escapes from the estate. After when an other fireman saved Tintin from the burning house, he has a conversation with Tintin in the hospital.
