Caraco is a Native American guide who resides on Don José Trujillo's hacienda on the frontier of San Theodoros.
History[]
Caraco was called by Don José Trujilo who introduced him to Tintin and told him he could take Tintin down the river.
Caraco asked Tintin where Tintin want to go, and Tintin told Caraco to take him to the Coliflor River, so he could find the Arumbayas.
He initially discouraged Tintin and said that the Arumbayas did not like strangers. Tintin persuaded him by paying him some money, but Caraco said he needed more to buy a canoe. Tintin has asked him if it's enough, and Caraco accepted it, saying it's plenty, and plans to row to see the Arumbayas the next day. After nightfall, he deserts Tintin, for fear of the Arumbayas, after a single day of travel.
Despite this, he is assumed to be guide in good faith, since he was able to bring Tintin to the Arumbayas.
