Bolivar claims to be "the strongest man in the world" and proves this by lifting heavy weights. However it is revealed that the dumbells he uses are fake and are not heavy at all. This ends up saving Tintin's life when he is weighed down with the fake weights and submerged in water. As they are fake he managed to escape from death. It is unknown why and how and for what purpose that they changed those dumbells in connection to Tintin's life, but Bolivar's stage show is ruined as he is unable to lift the real weights, although he admitted that somebody changed them.
