Coco is a Congolese guide from the Belgian Congo, a colony in Africa. He was a friend of Tintin in Tintin in the Congo. They met when Tintin needed a guide.
History[]
Coco is a brave and friendly person and a good guide. Tintin escaped many dangerous situations thanks to him, one of them being when Tom tried to kill Tintin with a shotgun, only being overpowered by monkeys. On another occasion, Muganga accused Tintin of stealing a sacred statue and captured Tintin. Coco thankfully saved him from certain death. He was last seen assisting Tintin in escaping from Muganga's clutches and even managed to record a conversation between Muganga and Tom.

In the colored book, Coco wears a blue shirt and light gray shorts, but on the book cover, he wears a red shirt.
